Although
most people have used a video camera before, most
have not created one for a professional portfolio.
If you are an amateur, you may want to take a basic
course on video design or read up on how to shoot
dynamic videos. However, in many cases, you'll
find through practice and trial and error you can
shoot your own videos without a lot of additional
help and do fine.
There
are series of steps that should take place before
you begin creating your videos. these steps will
make the creating of video more productive and
less frustrating during the producing of the video.
- Think
about what you want your videos to be about.
- Decide
backgrounds and props ahead of time.
- Create
a story board that will show each part of the
video, all the persons, props and narratives
that will be included. Story boards ar extremely
helpful and provide important information often
forgot on the day of video production. To learn
more about story boards and to download a story
board template click here: Story Boards.
- Check
all of your equipment before you start and bring
all needed equipment to the place of the production.
- Make
sure that the lighting is correct or bring correct
lighting to the scene.
