Creating videos and adding them to your portfolio sounds like a very daunting task, but it really isn't. If you have ever created a video before, you already have an idea of what is required for the first part. You are just going to take it one step further and put those videos into a digital format and add them to a portfolio about you.

Okay, before you run out and shoot your videos, a few things need to be covered.

First, you must know that anything displayed on the Web must be digital. Movies made in analog form, for example, VHS or Hi-8, need to be converted to digital befor uploading to the Web.

The best method, is to create your videos using a digital camera to avoid the need to convert to a digital format. However, if you have videos you created in analog form you can use an Analog-to-Digital Converter to convert your video from its present form to digital. You can also also convert your analog video to digital using a digital video camera.

Now you are ready to shoot your video.
